Data Centers Interesting Requirements
Exactly what are they preparing for?
A local paper published an article by a former university economics chair discussing the MSA Non-farm employment forecast for the next couple of years. In addition to projected expansion of some industries, he spent some time panting and drooling over the prospect of a Data Center, a data vault to store all of the information on you, me and everyone, coming to the area. Among the “critical mass of companies” that could support a data center he lists two that I found interesting. The first is Fibrebond ‘a company that builds blast resistant modules containing power units’. And another company Module X that he explains ‘builds similar boxes’. At this point I have to ask, “are blast proof power supplies” a critical part of a data vaults infrastructure? I know it’s different in other countries, but explosions are rare in the US. So it begs the question, do data centers expect to be attacked in the near future? If so, by whom? Do they expect some “Butlerian Jihad”? An all out war against ‘thinking machines’? If that’s the case, the Beast that is AI has a critical flaw, the need for water to cool the processors. In fact, it was only a few years ago when local radio stations broadcast PSA’s warning that the Aquifer where our fresh water comes from was low. They admonished us to limit watering our lawns, washing out cars and bathing. Of course, they didn’t mention the infestation of Fracking Wells that use up to a million gallons of water to bring each well in. I’d be interested in knowing how our threatened aquifer hopes to handle the demand a data center would have upon it?
I must admit to being confused at humanities passivity, training the computers that will take away their jobs. Sitting idly by, staring at their fondle slabs as their means of earning money is taken from them by Technocrats, by the wealthy elitists and their nefarious organizations. I realize it’s a perplexing problem and it seems like there’s no way to fix things as they currently are. The scope is whats daunting to most. That’s the way the technocrats intended it to be. They want you to feel helpless, despondent and hopeless, The deeper truth though is that neither their Malthusian incrementalist yearnings nor the politicians authoritarian pipe-dreams mean a thing because without the public’s cooperation, their assent, nothing happens.
James Corbett, someone I’ve admired for well over a decade, published an interview he did with LiveFreeNow.show
The interview touches on an important point. That simply ‘waking up’ isn’t enough. It’s no secret that I feel the current political Gordian knot is too complex to unravel using their slanted and corrupted system. The only way I see to proceed is to strip the government back to it’s roots, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Naturally Washington D.C. shudder at the collective shrieks from officials and government employees who just had their jobs canceled. They would finally know how we, the 90% have felt as our jobs were abruptly lost, shipped overseas. No matter what the solution eventually is, we cannot, I repeat we cannot, we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into another senseless civil war.
